Mark Doty is an American poet and memoirist. His collection My Alexandria won the National Book Critics Circle Award and the T.S. Eliot Prize. Fire to Fire: New and Selected Poems was awarded the National Book Award for Poetry. His memoire Dog Years was a New York Times best-seller. He served as Chancellor of the Academy of American Poets from 2011 to 2016.
